Each Advent season at Kingsnorth, classes turn their classroom doors into prayer spaces which represent a chosen aspect of Advent for that given year.

This is always a wonderful opportunity for the school community to work collaboratively to demonstrate our understanding of the importance of Advent to Christians and the lead up to Christmas. Understanding that Advent is much more than just a calendar.

Children are able to walk around the school and see the visual representation of Advent in each classroom. You can see the creative skills of the school community in the images below.

For 2025, we linked each Advent door to a Christmas Carol and each class shared their door and led their carols to the rest of the school.
