Multiplication Times Tables Check - Term 6

Children to practice 7, 8 and 9 timestables. It is an expectation that children access TTRS 3 x a week. On TTRS, children can access Sound checks which mimic the MTC. They will be able to see their scores and also the timestables they are not so confident on.

Term 6 Jigsaw – In this Puzzle, children explore identity and what makes them unique while learning about physical and emotional changes linked to puberty, including menstruation. They consider the role of families, trusted adults, and inner circles in providing care and support. Across the six Pieces, children develop strategies for coping with change, managing worries, and accepting things beyond their control. They practise reflecting on personal goals and positive changes they would like to make.

Some key Year 4 messages:

- A timetable will be on the outside of the classroom to share the learning that will take place throughout the week. There is also one on the internal door and a visual timetable on the whiteboard.

- Termly newsletters will be attached below for you to see the term's learning in more detail and will also be sent out via email.

- PE is on Wednesdays and Fridays. Please make sure you come to school in your kit on these days. This term, it is Cricket and Athletics. Children will need appropriate clothing as both lessons are outdoors.

-Don't forget your reading book, reading log and water bottle in your book bag – all really important things for a successful day at school.

-Prioritise practising your times tables, spellings and reading fluency - these are core skills for Year 4 children.

-Homework will be set on a Friday and consists of spellings, a focus times table/maths activity linked to the week's learning and a wider curriculum activity.  Spellings will be tested on the following Friday. AR quizzes-

You will need to click on the Accelerated Reader section, not the STAR test section.

- Red book bags should be used rather than rucksacks as per our policy.
