KEE Hub

The Kent Education Evidence Hub is an initiative led by the Kent Association of Headteachers, a body which represents education leaders in all Kent schools, colleges and settings.

During the summer of 2023, The Kent Association Research School (EEF) ceased working as the EEF changed its regional programme. KARS then morphed into the KEE Hub as part of a programme within KALE (KAH) and KCC.

Partnership

The Hub is the outcome of partnership work carried out between 2019 and 2023 between KAH, Kent County Council, The Education Endowment Foundation and its Research Schools network.

Particular thanks are given to the following people for their important roles in developing and sustaining the partnership and for helping to achieve the vision of the Hub:

  • Tara Deevoy, and Sally Lees, Chairs of the Hub Steering Group
  • All Headteachers and school leaders who gave their time to act as members of the Steering Group
  • Iain Witts and Laura Potts, leaders of the Kent Associate Research School at Kingsnorth Primary School
  • Igraine Rhodes, Maria Cunningham and Victoria Cockram representing EEF
  • Michelle Stanley, representing KCC
  • Kate Wilson, representing KAH

Governance

The work of the Hub is overseen by the Executive Board of the Kent Association of Headteachers and managed by the Hub Implementation Group.

We were hugely proud to announce that on 18 November 2021, Kingsnorth Primary School was announced at the Kent Associate Research School (KARS).

After going through a rigorous process and against stiff competition, we are delighted to announce that Kingsnorth CE Primary School have received the Associate Research School designation.  We look forward to working as an active partner of the EEFective Kent Project in the New Year.

'Kingsnorth CE Primary School in Ashford has been selected to form the Kent Associate Research School, and join the Education Endowment Foundation’s (EEF) network of 28 Research Schools and 10 Associate Research Schools across England. Their main objective, as an Associate of Durrington Research School in West Sussex, will be to establish new partnerships with local schools and provide effective guidance by promoting and exemplifying evidence-based practice.'

'The appointment of a new Associate Research School will support the EEFective Kent Project - an ambitious partnership between EEF and Kent County Council (KCC) aiming to support all Kent schools, so that they are able to access training and support based on the best available evidence. They will become part of the Research School Network, working to support schools in applying evidence-informed recommendations in their approach to improving their pupils’ outcomes.'

The press release was sent out to regional media for immediate release, and is available on the EEF website here: https://eef.li/Ud6qug
