We have a strong commitment to home learning which is designed to build upon the learning in school. Help or guidance that you can give your child is greatly appreciated.
Home Learning is intended to support the learning programme within school, and develop home school links. The home learning tasks and length of activity take into consideration the age of the child and follow current Government guidelines.
It is vitally important that children read regularly. The ability to read is one of the most important skills that your child will need. Therefore we ask all children to read at least three times a week and for parents to sign and comment in their child's 'My Reading Log'.
Children receive English/Topic and Maths home learning every Friday and it is expected to be completed and back in school by the following Wednesday.
If children do not complete their home learning then they may be asked to complete it during their own time.
Please discuss this with the class teacher if you have any concerns.
There is a Home Learning Club that runs every Wednesday Lunchtime for Years 2-4 to support children and give them the opportunity to work through their learning in the school environment.
For support and extra guidance please have a look at the Useful Links for Pupils page.
