Kingsnorth is a Church of England (Voluntary Controlled) Primary School, for children aged 4 to 11. We are a co-educational day school.
As of 01 November 2015 we became an Academy under the Diocese of Canterbury's Academy Trust (Aquila). Our acts or worship reflect Anglican beliefs, practices and values and we strive to maintain a distinctive Christian ethos and feel to our school.
The teaching staff currently comprises 16 teachers in addition to the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher. There is also an experienced team of teaching assistants working alongside the teachers, including several Higher Level teaching assistants. Our maximum number of children on roll is 420.
There are two classes in each year group. Children remain in the school until they are 11. After this, the majority transfer to one of the local Secondary schools for their secondary education. The school actively works with parents to ensure the smoothest possible transition to secondary education. Parents are offered information sessions with the Headteacher and Pupil Progress Leader to assist in their choice of secondary education.
